By BBC, this ruling suspends an earlier order of a federal judge banning the administration from closing the immigration programme called “Prolle”, the programme established by former President Joe Biden.
“Parole” protected immigrants who fled the economic and political crisis in their countries of origin, while the new order implies that some 530 thousand immigrants from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua and Venezuela are at risk of being expelled from the United States.
This decision comes after the Supreme Court's decision earlier this month that allowed Trump officials to revote the Early Protection status -- a special programme for about 350 thousand Venezuelan immigrants living and working in the US./Periscope
