The investigation culminated in the arrest of 13 suspects -- nine men and four women aged 19 to 45.
Six remain in custody.
It becomes known that authorities seized about 135,695 doses of hashish, 697 doses of cocaine and 85 ecstasy, writes. Euronews.
Police also confiscated about 60,000 euros of cash, five vehicles, a motorcycle, two nitrogen-oxid canisters and two firearms a 6.35mm pistol and a hunting rifle measuring 12.
This is one of the biggest seizures in recent years, not just for PSP, but for the entire region”, the deputy commissioner said P SP, Nuno Albardero at a press conference.
The sting reportedly started with an arrest in Evora and escalated with 29 co-ordinated research orders throughout the region, including the Santarem district.
PSP officials hailed the operation as a decisive blow against a sophisticated and widespread criminal enterprise.
