Democratic League of Kosovo MP Besian Mustafa has reacted sharply to the Energy Regulatory Office's decision (ZRRE) to raise the electricity price for 16%. In a public response, he has warned the LDK Parliamentary Group's immediate actions as soon as the new Parliamentary Assembly is introduced.
Mustafa announced that the LDK Parliamentary Group will call the ZRRE board report and will urgently seek revote of the decision adopted today. He added that this issue will be addressed both in parliamentary commissions and in the plenary hearing, where the LDK will present a resolution for the dismissal of the current ZRE board, Periscopi broadcasts.
“As soon as the Assembly is introduced, we will demand that the board immediately cancel the decision to raise the price of energy. If there are deputies representing the interests of citizens, then this board should be dismissed,” has declared Mustafa.
He added that if the current board does not withdraw from the decision, then the new board will do so without any hesitation.
The LDK MP also stressed the need for a professional and transparent board of ZRRE, which publishes the financial mirrors of KEDS and KESCO, as well as informs the Convention on Energy Trade and Investments the KEDS is obliged to do on the network, according to the contract.
