Kosovo Energy Regulatory Office board (ZRRE) is expected to make the decision today to raise the current price by up to 16 per cent during a meeting that is currently being held, Radio Free Europe learns from domestic sources, broadcasts Periscope.
Meanwhile, a mid-day protest has been warned to oppose the expensive electricity.
The energy regulator proposed last month the expensive price of electricity in the country for about 15 percent, arguing that the increase in tariffs this year is necessary, due to lowering energy production, increased consumption and heavy dependence on high-priced imports.
