Xhafer Gashi honours his fallen in the Battle of Kosara

In the case of the 26th anniversary of the Battle of Kostunica, the chairman of the Obilic municipality, Xhafer Gashi, has been homazed at the Memorial complex in Kostunica, where the martyrs of one of the most glorious battles of the Kosovo Liberation Army are killed.

Sali Cekayt's former fighter, Xhafer Gashi, remembering this anniversary, said this is a special, painful day, but also with deep pride for the sacrifice of those who gave their lives for the freedom of the country.

It's a special day of pain and pride, as thanks to the blood of sacrifice of all these who today rest here in the cemetery if we're enjoying freedom. In the context of the commemoration manifesto for the 26th anniversary of Kostare's glorious Battle, on behalf of the president of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, spoke Donika Kada-Bujupi, who has highlighted the historic importance of this battle, which he has called a turning point for Kosovo's freedom and statehood.

She recalled the start of the battle on April 9, 1999, and the leading role of military strategy and national hero Agim Ramadani.

The Battle of Kostare on April 9, 1999, within operation “Arrow” is one of the bloodiest and most heroics of the Kosovo Liberation Army war.
