Witness: We were forced to load the corpses of our friends who killed them, among those who gave the order was Milosavlevq

At Thursday's session at the Constitutional Court in Pristina, witness Skender Raracaj indicated that after firing prisoners, the guards had forced them to carry corpses in trucks, and among those who ordered this, the accused Gavrilo Milosavljevic was. Other “that has been even heavier for [...]

The other ones who were even heavier for us, on May 24, 1999, when we were transferred to Lipjan, they dragged the bodies of our friends who killed them, where among them was the defendant who was here and ordered to eat them in trucks”, the former prisoner said.

In this case, Gavrilo Milosavljevic in the quality of the guard in the Dubrava prison is accused of war crimes against the civilian population, reports the “Justice Trust”, broadcast. Perixopi.

He said the name of accused Gavrilo Milosavlevic cannot be unknown to him.

“I live six kilometers from Istog, couldn't have been unknown to us and his friends who participated in the Dubrava Massacre and the tortures that have done”, Raracaj said.

The nickname of accused Milosavlevq- “Gagi”, the witness said he had heard it for the first time while in prison, adding that it was impossible not to know Guardian nicknames because of the violence they exercised against them.

I was in Dubrava from January 1999 until May 24th 1999. About four months ago, we stayed and it was impossible not to get a day's nickname of Guardians because of the pressure and violence they've been practicing against us, where among them is the genocide of the accused. For whom they also spoke to the Prosecutor who came to the C ward where we were isolated and beaten prisoners with his colleagues”, he added.

Raracaj said the defendant's name was understood by the media following his arrest, the moment he was going to the police to issue a statement.

I took my name through the media, when I went to Aslan Visoqi's asked me where he's going and told him I'm going to the station about the arrest and that's where he told me that he's Fish Boy”, Raray added.

Asked why in that statement he had not mentioned the accused's name but only “maca” and “secle”, the witness said he had not been reminded.

Then I don't remember because as I mentioned before I have a problem with forgetting, but the important thing is that there was a participant in Dubrava and nobody can deny this”, Raracaj said.

In the court chairman's question, Judge Vesel Ishmael, what he remembered when he thought the accused's name, Raracaj said it was the most touching moment.

It was the most touching moment for me, because I remember the moment when the shooting of my friends took place in the sports field when “Gagi” was in the carriage and where they had orders to kill the prisoners and that's why I'm sure of”, he said, indicating that they were forced to carry bodies into trucks.

He said that in the cells where they were staying, the guards had entered every time they wanted to and had beaten them.

There's no time after time for them. For those reasons they have to beat us, torture us, because we have the house order respected”, the witness said.

During that time, Raracaj says that they had been visited by the International Red Cross, but this has only been worse for them.

We've put ourselves in front of the Geneva Red Cross, but then we've suffered worse... we've been beaten, because we're complaining, we've been told that we can't hold you here as you're looking for, even though we didn't ask for anything just those rights belonging to prisoners, but we've never enjoyed them in three years row” said Raracaj.

During this session, witness Bajram Behluli, who during the period 1989-1998 had worked as guard at the Dubrava prison, has also been heard.

Behluli said during his testimony that the accused had seen him pause and that he took pictures of the prisoners.

I decided from 1988 to 1994 on internal security in the pavilion, the accused can't say I haven't seen him, I've seen where we went on vacation, but I never said hello. I saw that this one was with a camera in his hand that went into the accession room when the prisoners came in, rather I don't know”, he said.

Behluli added that accused Milosavlevic's name has heard in the media since he was arrested.

This hearing was preceded by witness Binak Buyipaj, but the same was absent. Under these circumstances, the session was interrupted to continue another date.
