After raising doubts that Brazil-born chicken meat had resulted positive in Albania, the Food and Veterinary Agency had taken action to lift doubts about Kosovo consumers.

Today the results have been released, which have confirmed, that the meat which was being traded and the one being imported is safe for consumption and meets the legal criteria for marketing.
Brazil-born chicken meat samples (fileto-breast) have been tested in microbiological terms, in parameters of the presence of Salmonella Typhimurium and Salmonella Enteritis. Tests were conducted with ANSR the advanced method of amplification of the DNA of the Sppp Salmones. The same have been confirmed with the classic ISO 6579-1 method.
