Vuciq nominated Albanian Demo Berisha for minister, Kamberi: It is a heavy blow for any Albanian who has suffered

According to him, this appointment is not only politically unacceptable but also morally shameful because Demo Berisha is not a representative of human rights, but a symbol of the denial of the national and political identity of Kosovo Albanians and the Presevo Valley.

“Sic testifies to images, statements and public interviews, Demo Berisha is a former Serbian Army officer, part of structures that have been involved in Kosovo war crimes. Although he says he is from Peja, he publicly claims his homeland is Serbia, that Kosovo is “Kosovo of Metohija” and denies the existence of the Republic of Kosovo. Not only that he is the founder of a Serbian-named organisation, “Matica Albanaca Srbije,” where he defends the legacy of Serbia's accomplices in the darkest periods of our history, even Esat Pasha Toptan, known for betraying the Albanian nation. Demo Berisha can only be Faik Jashari 2.0, who was participating in Serbia's delegation to Rambouillet. Faik Jashari, even though he had chosen to remain part of Serbia's institutions before 1999, after the war he was forced to leave Kosovo and for 20 years has not returned. It's a symbol of a past that's finished. It remains outside the institutions, outside Kosovo, as a figure of oblivion and defeat, the Kuisling figure”, wrote on Facebook. Kamberi has written that Demo Berisha, who shares the same ideology with Jasharin é that Kosovo is Serbia and Albanians must submit to that reality, is promoting this spirit as “Albanian model” for Serbia.
“It shows in interviews by denying NATO, supporting the Serbian war offensive and presenting itself as representative of Albanians in Serbia. It has been used and used as a propaganda tool to legitimise the gear that Albanians are integrated and satisfied in Serbia as long as they deny Kosovo and obey Belgrade. Demo Berisha does not represent Albanians, but a version instrumentalised for the interests of Serbian politics, like some others in the Milosevic era. His proposal as minister is not for human rights, but for the continuation of a policy that will silence the voice of true Albanians in Serbia, as does an insult to all other minorities in Serbia, which constitute 20 per cent of this state's population. This proposal is dangerous because it legalises denial of the national identity of Albanians, and the institution that should protect their rights will become a parody of itself. Therefore, this appointment should not go unanswered either by the Valley Albanians or by institutions in Pristina, nor by official Tirana, nor by the international factor”, he wrote, adding that silence of this absurd is co-existence.
