The volcano explodes in Iceland, tourists are evacuated

Tourists have been evacuated by a popular hot spot after the lava started flowing from the Sunddhdenúksgígar volcano in Iceland, causing fears of an impending explosion, reports  The Mirror, broadcast Periscope.

Experts say seismic activity has increased in recent weeks, indicating that pressure at the site of the explosion is increasing.

Before a possible explosion, which can begin at any moment, the renowned Blue Laguna, where visitors can rest in geothermal waters, is evacuated according to local reports.

The Island Meteorology office in a statement said: “A host of earthquakes began around 6:30 this morning at the Sundranúks” crater line. /Periscope/
