Ziadeh has said that Cherkini, who passed away on February 24th of this year, has devoted decades of life to the accruing of the right to know the fate of the found, while calling for the commission to be used to whitewash the fate of their loved ones, writes Insander.
“Encourage all parties to make full use of this joint commission together with the existing working group to move on without delay and help families whiteen the fate of their loved ones.
In this context, I want to remind you of Mr. Bajram Cerkini, the father of a forcibly missing son who has devoted decades of life to aggravating the right to know whose efforts have affected many communities and have been the incarnation of humanity of all affected. His legacy encourages the way in this direction, and UNMIK remains committed to supporting the resource centre for the missing persons and all family members seeking answers”, she said among other things.
The UN Security Council meeting is discussing the UN Secretary General's new six-month report on developments in Kosovo.
