US President Donald Trump declared a universal fee <x0 base” 10% for imports to the US, in what he called “Liberation Day”.
He also unveiled the 10% fee for UK goods and 20% for EU goods at the critical moment for global trade, reports BBC.
He also stressed that a gold “epoca” will begin for America and that it is time for the US “to advance”.
The US president further attacked major trade partners, Canada and Mexico, saying their trade practices are “not fair” and also announced that the 25% rate for all foreign production vehicles would start from midnight to local time.
According to him, tariffs will deal with unfair “trade” with other countries a view shared by some American industries, but analysts warn that tariffs can increase the global price./Periscopi/
