“Summer, time for exercise and access to some media” Special Court Ombudsman shows what Thaci's complaints -- Veselin, Selimi Krasniqi -- are

Omudsperson of the Specialised Chambers of Kosovo, or as it is known otherwise even by the ombudsman, Piestro Spera, has spoken about the trial process taking place in The Hague, about the alleged complaints about the judicial process and the decisions Omudsperson's institution has undertaken.

Spera has said that the most frequent complaints of detainees involve food and misunderstandings with prison regulations

In 2020, a formal complaint was filed on behalf of Mr. Thaci, Mr. Thaci. Wessel, Mr. Selimi and Mr. Krasniqi. The complaint consisted of several elements, and I analyzed each element and drafted a report on it. Many of the elements of this complaint involved the judicial process itself, which, as I already explained, is not included in my jurisdiction. Other elements of the complaint were related to administrative aspects, and I handled them. Likewise, I received an official complaint on behalf of Mr. Yanuzi, Mr. Kilaj, Mr. Kili. Shala and Mr. Bahitiari about the Juridical Assistance Order”, he told T7, followed Periscope.

Other criticisms addressed to the ombudsman are also the food section, the difficulty and access to certain media.

The other “Kritikas representing the detainees are of the least official type, such as complaints about food quality, the fact that some articles are not available to be bought by the detainees, the time spent outside in the yard for exercise, access to certain media, etc. I discuss these aspects with the relevant authorities, and in most cases they are selected”, Spera said.
