Sociologist from Spain: I died in 24 minutes, that's what I saw while I was hanging on my body.

Sociologist, who lives in southern Spain, was taking the girls to school when he had an unexpected cardiac arrest. I had a very strange feeling, as if the world had gone through an ancient filter. As if time no longer worked the same way. Everything seemed slower, denser, more charged with meaning. ”

Romero had struggled with serious health problems for several months before this near-death experience. Despite many medical tests, no one could give a clear diagnosis.

She said: “The doctors could not determine exactly what had gone wrong with me. They did all kinds of tests, but none of them gave clear answers. My body was failing, and they couldn't find a specific cause. It was a very difficult time because I felt worse and worse and nobody could explain why. I have surgeons, neurologgers and scientists studying these phenomena. Many of them agree on something very important that my illness was perhaps a physical manifestation of my emotions. Back then, I'm going through the hardest part of my life. Sometimes what we do not let inside finds a way to express itself through the body. ”

This experience has completely changed Romero's view of life and death.
