Three shipments of strawberries and revenue from Greece have resulted in contaminated pesticides dangerous to consumer health, becoming the investigation by the European Commission (RASFF), reports Euronews. al, broadcast Periscope.
According to published data, one of the shipments entered Albania on April 1st has resulted in remains of the Clofentesine pesticide, a substance used for fighting spiders in plants.

This substance is banned in some places because of its high toxicity.
Another cargo imported on 17 March has resulted in remains of three different pesticides: Cyprus, Avermectin Bla and Fludioxonil, all in high risk for human organism if consumed in considerable amounts.

Meanwhile, another third case has been filed on March 5th, with the load of strawberries containing remains of Hexythiax, another pesticide with potential risking for the nervous system and endocrin.

The exact amount of imported strawberries has not yet been disclosed, and it has been distributed on the market for consumption. Albanian authorities have announced that the food business operator has informed the subjects who have received the product, to restore it. /Periscope/
