57 deputies from Vetevendosje and non-Serb minorities voted for its election. Against were 41 deputies, those of the Democratic Party, the Democratic League and the Alliance. The 3 deputies of the Initiative, 8 of the Serbian List's mandaters while they were in the hall, did not participate in the vote.
The Vetevendosje movement continues to insist on Albulen Haxhiu's proposal for the Speaker of the Parliament, refusing to change the candidate, while parties in the past legislature have continued to refuse to back him.
