Rutte: NATO cannot be naive about China's military movements

Rutte's comments follow a meeting of NATO foreign ministers last week, in which the coalition chief stressed that global security threats are more interconnected than ever and that increasing defence spending is the key to ensuring NATO security.
“We are seeing what China is doing”, he said, citing the fact that Russians are working together with North Koreans, with the Chinese, with Iran.
The former Dutch prime minister also said NATO is concerned about China's military exercises near Taiwan and “we follow them closely”.
The United States wants NATO members to become more involved in the Indo-Peace zone, Rutte has further said.
