Second round of US-Russia talks kicks off in Istanbul

A US delegation arrived in the Russian General Consulate in Istanbul at 9:45 local time for talks to normalise embassy operations between the two countries, Anadolu reports.
On Tuesday, US State Department spokeswoman Tami Bruce said delegations will meet for a second round of talks in Istanbul to address efforts for “stabilisation further operations of their bilateral missions”.
Saying that “has no political or security issues on the agenda”, she stressed that the issues related to Ukraine “obsolutely are not on the agenda”.
The Russian delegation will be led by Russian Ambassador to the US Alexander Darchiev, while US delegation by Deputy Assistant Secretary Sonata Coulter. /Periscope
Before the meeting, Darchiev announced that some progress has already been made on a range of issues.
