This is Russia's largest mobilization in three years of war with Ukraine. The age of soldiers to be mobilized will be between 18 and 30, writes A2, Periscope.
The new order, which starts from April 1st and will be completed by 15th, comes amid ongoing negotiations on a ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine, brokered by the United States.
In Russia, such mobilization campaigns are held twice a year, one in the spring and one in the autumn. More soldiers will be summoned this spring than in previous years.
Mobilization in the spring of 2024 involved 150 thousand people, and in the spring of 2023, 147 thousand.
