The incident occurred in the early hours of Tuesday's morning, during a concert by the renowned merengue singer Ruby Peres, at the Jet Set nightclub, where it was reported that he was among the persons trapped under the rubble.
Hundreds were in the club, while about 400 rescuers are still searching for survival. There is fear that the number of victims could increase further.
Emergency Operations Centre Director Juan Manuel Méndez voiced hope that many of those under the rubble are still alive. /Periscope/
