“The “Rizvanol is considered” to citizens on banal charges for spending electricity

Acting Economy Minister Artane Rizvanolli said a small portion of households are consuming most of the electricity.

Invited on television close to the government in office, ATV Rizvanolli said that according to recent data, 12 percent of households have consumed about 40 percent of the energy in November 2024, it broadcasts Periscope.

“E is one of the data that we've been analyzing over these two to three weeks, we've seen that we have a phenomenon where a small portion of households have an extremely much more consumption than others. For example, in extreme cases, in November 2024, only 12 percent of households have consumed over a thousand kilowatt hours per month, but they have consumed 39 percent of total electricity consumption in Kosovo”, Rizvanolli said.

She added that some of these consumers spend up to 5,000 kilowatt hours even during the summer, raising doubts about unusual uses such as the heating of pools or cryptovaluta devices.

It's very difficult to explain, especially during the summer and spring months. During winter you can say that a big pool house if it gets heated up all the time, you spend it that much. But over the next few months it's really hard to explain, unless perhaps the masterpieces or drug production, or other product that isn't illegal but that's informal”, Rizvanolli said.
