To praise the Kosovo Police, the government in the resignation is not spared, but when it comes to filling their pockets for their labor is not primary. Since January, those who care for the country's security and its citizens have not received additions for holidays and overtime, Periscope reports.
Periscop sources have confirmed that Kosovo police are still continuing to be ignored by the government, though months ago the Union had reacted sharply.
Kosovo Police's “Sindition requires the Ministry of Finance to immediately execute outstanding payments, ensuring full compensation for night shifts and additional hours, in line with the legal rights of police officials. This is necessary to maintain their motivation and commitment to the service of citizens and public security”, the Union's response was said among other things.
In the meantime Periscop also contacted the Minister of Finance about the process of executing additions, that was their response:
“The Ministry of Finance, Labour and Transfers (MFPT) expresses its understanding of the concerns raised over the execution of salaries and additions. The responsibility on preparing salary lists, while also ensuring that the amount ordered for payment is within budgetary limits adopted in the Law for Budgetary Divisions, belongs to each relevant budget organisation. The Ministry of Finance, Labour and Transfers, respectively, ensures that the amount is in line with the budgetary division, and makes the payment processing through individual accounts. While it is up to relevant budget organisations to plan the annual budget per month, and to make sure they have enough budgets when they approve additional additions on the” base wage, the Ministry's response said.
