Police union has condemned the murder of a sergeant. Muhammad Lika in Kacanik, naming it a direct attack on public security and the state of Kosovo itself.
“Any attack on a police official is an attack on the Republic of Kosovo! Kosovo police are the main pillar of order and security in the country. Its touch is an attempt to undermine the foundations of our state and will not be tolerated”, says the Union's response.
It has called for immediate action by justice institutions to investigate and punish the perpetrators of this criminal act.
Kosovo Police's “Sindicate stands firm in support of each member and will not allow such acts of intimidation to shake our commitment to duty and Republic” are highlighted in response.
In the end, the Union has expressed its honours and respect for the sacrifice of Sergeant Muhamed Lika, stressing that justice for him should be put in place as soon as possible.
Muhamed Lika was killed Tuesday evening before the entrance of his apartment. /Periscope/
