The 36-year-old from the north of London took the womb donated by her older sister, Amy.
This was the first time the procedure was conducted in Great Britain and the birth would give hope to thousands of women born without wombs like those with the Mayer-Rokitiansky-Kuster-Hauser (MRKH) or the womb of which doesn't work, reports dailymail Transmitt Periscope.

Davidson was born with Mayer-Roytiansky-Kuster-Hauser, a rare situation affecting about one in every 15 thousand women. It means that they have an undeveloped or missing womb.
However, ovaries are intact and still function to produce female eggs and hormones, making conception possible through treatment of fertility.
