President Begaj message for 16th anniversary of Albania's NATO membership

Begaj, in his message, praises the contribution made by Albania to NATO and stresses that our country will continue to be a dedicated partner of the Euro-Atlantic alliance.

“16 years in NATO.
Albania boasts today the 16th anniversary of membership in the most successful alliance of collective defence, NATO.

In these 16 years, Albania has proved to be a worthy member of the coalition with contributions and active participation in NATO missions and operations, Euronews writes, Periscope.

Albania will continue to be committed to the Euro-Atlantic alliance to have a strong, united and solid NATO.” dealt with the head of state in its official profile on social networks.

Regarding Albania's anniversary in NATO, Foreign Minister Igli Hasani reacted.

We have NATO and NATO has Albania! With the new geopolitical contexts, we will strengthen partnership with our allies, and we will proudly continue the contribution to strengthening peace, security and stability in the region and beyond.” The minister underlines Hasani.

According to him, Albania's trip to NATO reflects strength, security and solidarity, while expressing the pride our country is located near allies for a safer future.

Its NATO membership on 1 April 2009 is one of the most important historical achievements for the country and for the entire Albanian nation.
