The Energy Regulatory Office made a decision to store electricity for 16 percent, notes Periscope.
This increase comes for third in a row during Kurti government.
In the face of this decision, no one in the government faced the civil uprising and protests.
The voice of citizens met in deaf ears. The VV appears to be in a state of embarrassment to collecting mandates aimed at another four-year rule.
They've decided to keep quiet.
Unlike them, following the ZERE decision, opposition party representatives have suggested they will take measures against the ZRE board following the Assembly's framework.
LDK Deputy Chairman Hykmete Bajrami has warned they will seek the dismissal of the ZRE board.
She has said she will be invited to report to the current board, too, to seek revote the decision.
“After the last post, many citizens are asking me: What will the LDK do about the ZERE decision? Here's the answer: Once the Parliamentary Group of the Democratic League of Kosovo is formed, it will call to report the ZERE board. We're going to demand that this board urgently replay today's decision to raise the price of energy of 16%. We will discuss the commissions and the session, where we will present resolution on the dismissal of the ZERE board”, it wrote.
It has estimated that all deputies of the new legislature should seek the dismissal of this board.
“If in this legislature there are deputies representing the interest of citizens, then we will sack the current board. If the current board does not abolish the decision, then the new board will do so without any doubt. Z The RRE must have a professional and transparent board, publishing KEDS and KESCO's (profits) financial mirrors. The Assembly should also have accurate report on energy trade, but also on investments that KEDS is obliged to make online, according to the contract.”, Bajrami wrote.
And PDK Secretary General Vlora Citaku has suggested that the ZRE board is instrumentalised by the Kurti Government.
In its account in “Facebook”, she wrote that this institution became Kurti's queen.
“The ZERC has become a mass through which the outgoing government is directly hitting the citizen. He's making her poor, he's getting tired, and he's trying to bring her down. For the thought of this caste is not to rule, but to rule, and a people driven to poverty are more easily ruled. But no, Albin. You don't have us any more, and you don't have to fight us anymore. For this people has lifted up their voices even in times of great trouble, and will do it again,” wrote Citaku.
And AAK chairman Ramush Haradinaj has said that the ZRE decision is in service of energy mafia.
According to him, these actions Government Kurti is proving that it is not defending the interests of citizens.
“Today's decision by the Energy Regulatory Office for renewed electricity prices is another blow to Kosovo citizens and an open favour for the power mafia click installed by this government. ZRE, which has become an instrument in the hands of Kurti Government, has now confirmed that it no longer acts in consumer interest, but has become a mechanism to justify theft and misuse of the energy market. The environments with the electricity trade are no longer just doubts, for them there are already concrete suspects, people close to the prime minister! As many families afford their bills, they continue to get rich through illegal and shameful ways. Those who are immersed in these relationships will be accountable to justice”, Haradinaj said.
President, opposition, civil society and citizens have in various ways rejected the rise in electricity prices. The government and the ruling party, on the other hand, have agreed with the price of electricity by 16 percent. /Periscopi
