Police with an announcement to the citizens of Kachanic: Explosion of unbroken vehicle postponed for 2 May

Kosovo police report that the operation of the unbroken vehicle explosion, located in the village of Stagova in Kacanik, in the neighbourhood “Teneqja”, which was the first to be realised by the 30.04.2025 KFOR Demining Unit, is being postponed for the date 02.05.2025 from 0900-1300:1300.

Measures to be respected:

“- The danger zone is estimated at a radius of 1,000 meters from where the explosive device is located.

Within this area, human attitudes are strictly forbidden. While the safe evacuation of animals and machinery is recommended.

Residents of the neighborhood “Teneqja” and the hill area in the village of Stagova pray that:

To keep the windows of houses open because of the possible wave of explosion, which can cause material damage.

) drive cars to safe places like garages or after houses.

The Fire Department and Emergency Services will be available and present in a safe area to respond in case of need.

The police will inform the surrounding residents and ensure that, on the high date and hour, there are no people outside the house.

It is recommended that residents within a 1,000m radius leave their homes before the operation begins and stay away until the end of the explosion.
