The Peja municipality comes up with a public clarification of the Page Rugova road axis

Faik Zekaj, spokesperson for the Peja municipality, has made an explanation regarding the situation of the Peja road axis '% Rugova.

Zekaj said the maintenance and regulation of this road are not in the competencies of the Pec municipality, but, according to him, are the Ministry of Environment, Space Planning and Infrastructure.

This response comes after reports that the situation of the Peja Rugova road axis is difficult to get away with and dangerous for citizens because of the rocks slide.

On the other hand, Zekaj has called on citizens for increased care, while calling on responsible institutions to take the necessary actions without delay.

The Pec municipality has long been concerned about the situation of the Peja Rugova road axis, a road of great importance to citizens, tourists and the economic development of the area. Unfortunately, for years this road has been in a miserable state, posing danger for citizens and damaging the image of our tourist destination.

We want to clarify the public opinion that maintenance and regulation of this road are not in the competence of the Pec municipality, but are responsible for the Ministry of Environment, Space Planning and Infrastructure. Despite constant demands for appropriate intervention and maintenance, the road situation continues to deteriorate, making the movement difficult and endangering the safety of citizens.

In public - divided views, the consequences of this lack of care are clearly seen, where a truck is seen dragging a large rock in the middle of the road. This situation clearly shows a lack of investment and commitment to ensure safety in the road.
