Bernard Nikaj i The PDK said the Kosovo government should act without delay in removing the 10% fee on US goods.
He said maintaining this tax on American products has no economic significance “, much less political rationale”.
For Kosovo, partnership with the United States represents a strategic and irreplaceable economic axis far more important than the burden Kosovo market has on the American economy. In this context, keeping the 10% fee on American products has no economic significance, much less political reasoning. At this moment it directly harms the long-term interests of the state of Kosovo and violates ties with our main ally. The immediate removal of this fee is not only a rational act, but also a clear political signal that Kosovo remains committed to deepening US relations with”, he said, broadcasts Periscope.
Nikaj said any delays in this direction should be interpreted as the vision and incompatibility <x0mge on the part of the Kosovo Government in relation to the country's key coalitions”.
The Trump administration imposed a 10% minimum fee on Kosovo compared to the tariffs it imposed on several other states, which President Trump called the worst “opponents”.
After that, President Osmani said yesterday that she has officially addressed the Government to lift this fee for US goods, and that call was followed by many others.
The government yesterday said that even before the US tariff was imposed on Kosovo, they have been reviewing free trade with the US.
