Similarly, at Wednesday's session, the indictment was read by prosecutor Ardian Mehmeti, as well as read to them the rights from the court of the case, Edita Bitanta.
Following Lekaj's statement about guilt, the judge reported it on the right to counter evidence and request to cast the indictment in the 30-day term.
Otherwise, Pristina Constitutional Prosecutorship on June 1, 2017, has filed charges against Paul Lekat, who charges him with criminal work “with the use of weapons or dangerous tool”.
According to the indictment, the defendant on November 30th 2015, in the lobby of the Republic of Kosovo's Parliament with the aim of preventing the work of MPs, has used the teargas gun.
As a result, work in the Assembly has been put off for several minutes because of environmental contamination and that other MPs in attendance have been forced to leave the lobby and the Assembly Hall.
With that, Lekaj is accused of committing criminal acts “using weapons or dangerous tool” from Article 375, par.2 of the Criminal Code, where the perpetrators are fined up to 10,000 euros and sentenced to jail terms of one to 10 years. /Periscope/
