Osmani: Kosovo needs a Government that respects Constitution

President Vjosa Osmani said partners are asking whether the new government will be elected by May, when the Committee of Ministers is expected to reconsider Kosovo's membership in the Council of Europe. She said that it would not be necessary for the failure of the new government to be rationalized by some states for them [...]
She said that it would not be necessary for the failure of the new government to be given as an excuse to postpone the decision.
The “in practical terms should not be needed because the presidency leads foreign policy and the Government has no limited competencies against the fact that it is in office from March 22nd onward. However, in terms of the image, it creates such an image. Yesterday, I had some conversations with our partners just as far as voting on the ministers' committee in May, and many asked whether the Government would be elected by that moment and so on. So there's an image that then gives the reasoning to some states to say “we put it off again”. So we shouldn't have to give anyone such reasoning, I hope we have the Government and we'll have the Constitute Assembly soon”, she said in an interview for RTV21, broadcast Periscope.
Osmani said the country needs its <x0 government stable”.
Kosovo needs to have stable government now how inclusive it is is, in a party respect for the parties to decide it is not up to me as president to intervene in that process, of importance to have Government voted in the Kosovo Parliament, the Government that respects the Constitution and that, above all, establishes the interest of the Republic of Kosovo and its citizens. This is more important”, she said from Antalya, where she went to the Diplomacy Forum.
