The chairman of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), Lumir Abdixhiku, attended the joint dinner of European leaders, organised under the European People's Party Congress (EPP). This important political event included high personalities of European Union institutions and heads of state among those present.
Among the guests were European Commission President Ursula von Leyen, European Parliament President Roberta Metsola, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, Austrian Chancellor Christian Stocker, Greece Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Swedish Prime Minister Wolf Cristerson, Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovi, Finland's Prime Minister Petter Orpo, as well as leaders of the EPP member parties.
During the meeting, Obadiah reaffirmed Kosovo's commitment to the European road, stressing the importance of a clear vision on the part of the EU for the country's integration. He reaffirmed the demand for recognition of Kosovo's citizenship by the five European Union member states that have not yet made that step.
The LDK leader also presented before his counterparts the progress achieved by Kosovo in the area of democratic and economic reforms, as well as in advancing human rights as concrete evidence of her commitment to European values.
In his address, Abdixhiku also raised concerns about Serbia's continued interventions in the internal affairs of the Republic of Kosovo, considering this a serious challenge to peace and stability in the region.
He expressed his conviction that Kosovo will continue to move forward and triumph, as it has always done./Periscopi/
