On the occasion of marking the 17th anniversary of the Constitutional Day of the Republic of Kosovo, LDK chairman Lumir Abdixhiku has come with a message of congratulations.
Today, on Constitutional Day, we honor the foundations of our independent and democratic state, the document that embodys the historic aspirations of our citizens for freedom, equality and justice” writes Abdixhiku in the message of congratulations, writes Periscope.
Today, 17 years later, we are called upon to reflect deeply. The violations of the repeated Constitution and direct attacks on the Constitutional Court are the clear signal of practices that undermine democratic order and turn the state away from the principles upon which it is built. This is not just a legal matter. It's a wound to our democracy and to the citizens' belief in justice. We can't and we shouldn't allow this anymore. Protecting the Constitution is the responsibility of each of us who believes in a fair, equal and democratic Kosovo”.
