Through a Facebook response, Arta writes heartfelt, eager words about her uncle, Periscope.
She is convinced that freedom comes, and justice will prevail.
Arta Mustafa's full reaction to her visit to The Hague to her uncle, Salih Mustafa:
Uncle, how I missed you!
Yesterday I first met her, after almost five years, my uncle Salih Mustaf. We embraced after so much lack of time, suffering, injustice.
There are no words that describe the feeling of that moment. It was pain and pain and pride all in one.
To see someone you love, which is a symbol of resistance and justice, unjustly closed so long, and yet to find it strong, clear, stable is an emotion never forgotten.
My uncle's not broken.
Neither time nor distance nor isolation have dimmed his eyes. He maintains his position with dignity, as he has always kept it with the conviction that truth will come to light.
Yesterday we embraced, not just our niece and uncle, but two generations that never forgot the freedom sacrifice.
LIRIA will be dead. And we'll wait for him together, arms for arms.
We're going to reassemble the picture, yer!
