The photo of a young Filipino man allegedly killed 22-year-old Albanian Ilaria Sula, who was found dead today after resulting missing for several days.
According to foreign media, her body was found today in a forested area near Paul's municipality, about 25 miles [40 km] from Rome, broadcast Periscope.
The main suspect in the murder is her boyfriend, Mark Samson, a 23-year-old Filipino native. Italian authorities have detained him and are questioning him on serious charges of deliberately killing and hiding his body. According to preliminary investigation, he was allegedly stabbed several times in his apartment in Via Homs, in Rome's African district and then attempted to wipe out the body.
A serious detail that has helped the investigation is the fact that, after the murder, Samson has continued to use Ilaries' phone to send messages and post to social networks, creating the idea that she was still alive. Phone phones have helped police discover the truth and put it into the center of doubt, writes “La Repubblica”, follow A2 CNN.
Ilaria was a student at the Faculty of Statistics at Sapienza University in Rome and lived in an apartment with her friends in San Lorenzo County. On the evening of March 25, she left the house without giving any explanation and never returned. Her family in Tern sounded the alarm, and Italian police launched the search immediately.
University Rector Antonella Polimen described the event as a terrible murder that has left everyone speechless. In this moment of pain, we are close to the family of Ilaries and our entire student community,”, she said.
Meanwhile, authorities are continuing their investigations to make this serious crime quite worse and bring justice to Ilaria Sula, whose dreams were most tragicly extinguished.
