Full Posting:
Today I have received a letter from the chairman of the Vetevendosje-Guxo-Alternative coalition, Mr. Albin Kurti, at the invitation for a meeting before the continuation of the Kosovo Assembly Constituent session held tomorrow.
Deeply believing that the Republic of Kosovo is in urgent need of institutional unblockment and for restoring the regular functioning of the highest legislative institution, as well as to pave the way for constitutional deadlines for establishing the government, I will respond positively to this invitation for the meeting.
In that spirit, I encourage Mr. Kurti to reflect responsibly on the current situation and demonstrate sincere will to enable the formation of new institutions so that Kosovo can have a country and a legitimate and functional government as soon as possible.
In this context, finding an appropriate candidate or candidate, who enjoys the support of most MPs, would be an important step forward.
Of course, on the issue of the deputy heads of the Parliament there is nothing to discuss, as this is a right guaranteed by the Constitution and clearly defined.
The Democratic Party of Kosovo, as if always, will continue to behave with responsibility and institutional seriousness, in accordance with state and civic interest.
All detailed positions of the PDK will be made public tomorrow, during and after the meeting, through a media conference.
