French President Emmanuel Macron says he had a very positive “appointment with his Ukrainian counterpart, Volodymyr Zelensky, as they met at Papa Francisco's funeral in the Vatican.
According to foreign media, Zelensky told Macroni that Ukraine is “ready for an unconditional ceasefire”, adding that “the end of the war in Ukraine is the goal we share with President Trump”, writes A2 CNN, broadcast Periscope.
In a post on the social network Xл, Macro says it is now up to Russian President Vladimir Putin to “regret that he really wants peace”.
“We will continue our work within the framework of the coalition of volunteers launched in Paris last March to achieve this ceasefire and a full and lasting peace in Ukraine,” adds Macroron.
We remember that Zelensky earlier held a face-to-face meeting with Trump in the Vatican, but not all the details of the meeting are known. /Periscope/
