The Kosovo Security Council held meetings today at the request of Republika Prime Minister Albin Kurti.
Reported and discussed the overall security situation with emphasis on Serbia's destabilising plans and criminal interventions. On April 1st after midnight, two hand grenades were attacked by the Kosovo Post Office in Zvecan, one of which exploded. The Zvecan Post Office has been fully repaired and is now normally followed by public service delivery there. When we add this to last night's arrest of four Serb elites in Gjakova, one of whom was Serbia's police lieutenant and the other captain of Serbia's military, and all that has been confiscated from them requires that all institutions and state mechanisms keep their attention and readiness high.
In this meeting, it was found that apart from Serbia's interventions in the election campaign and parliamentary elections in Kosovo on February 9th 2025, through Serbian List and chief terrorist Milan Radojic as chairman “de facto”, Serbia is now interfering with some of the MPs of its non-Serb and non-Serb communities to sabotage the establishment of new legislature institutions. With threats and attractions, and especially with blackmail, it is attempting to stir up interethnic and interparty tensions in Kosovo and destabilise Kosovo. This presents flagrant interventions to our country's state sovereignty, democratic functioning and institutional integrity. At the same time, against Kosovo Serbs, Serbia is putting on unprecedented pressure for participation in the rally of Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq in Belgrade, which has been warned of the coming week. Vuciqi's regime is aimed at exporting the crisis to Kosovo and not only, as it is in the biggest crisis ever.
The Kosovo Security Council thanks all citizens for the support of our state and its institutions.
