Kosovo's Economic Oda also calls for US tariff removal

The Kosovo government is calling for the removal of tariffs that have been imposed on US goods after the Trump Administration imposed a 10% fee on Kosovo goods going to the US.

These calls have also been joined by the Kosovo Economic Oda, which said that “strongly supports” President Vjosa Osmani's call to the Government of Kosovo for the removal of customs tariffs for American goods.

This call strengthens our call for the suspension of customs duties for American goods and underlines the importance of strengthening economic relations with the United States and is an important step to advance trade and international economic co-operation”.

Kosovo's Economic Oda said it considers lifting customs duties for American products would open new opportunities for Kosovo's economic development and contribute to increased trade and investment opportunities.

“This move would strengthen relations with Kosovo's most important strategic ally, the United States, and would mark a major step towards freer trade”.

Kosovo's “EconomicsOda believes that actions that strengthen ties with international partners, especially those that are based on common interests and economic values, are important for Kosovo's future. In this context, the Kosovo Economic Oda invites the Government of Kosovo to act quickly and make appropriate decisions that will enable the removal of customs duties and the advancement of economic partnership with the United States of America”.

The American Economic Oda in Kosovo also had such a call.

Also, from the opposition AAK leader Ramush Haradinaj urged the government to act in that direction.

In addition, the Albanian-American Relations Council (Albanian American Relations Council) called on Kosovo to lift tariffs against the US and other countries in the region: Albania, Montenegro and Northern Macedonia. /Periscopi
