In fact, with delays in the framework of the ninth legislature, Kosovo risks delaying itself even more on the path it can offer access to funds of up to 882m euros, in the form of grants and loans.
After the end of the last session, concerns over this raised observers of the Parliament's work, reports Dukagini, broadcast Periscope.
The “will have direct impact on many of the processes Kosovo is going through, and for which the Parliament vote is needed, with particular emphasis on some international agreements related to the reform plan under the process that is already under way as a conditioning form on the part of the European Union”, Eugen Cacol from KDI said.
Noting also the political conditions for profit, Professor Dritero Arifi said with a deadlock on procedural, technical and legal issues, Kosovo is hurting itself.
There's an opportunity to lose, because when we're talking, we're at the end of the fourth month and we're approaching this year's six-month-old and it's dangerous because the growth plan is before it ends until 2027. This could cost us a lot... Unfortunately, the political elite in Kosovo is showing us several times that it has failed, is failing, and, unfortunately, will fail in the future. And this will be at the expense of the citizens of Kosovo”, Professor Dr. Dritaro Arifi said.
The first agreement under the growth instrument between Kosovo and the European Union was signed in late November.
However, it was not approved despite that the eighth legislature, officially, had a mandate until March. /Periscope/
