During this week, traffic units are engaged on all roads in the country, with the aim of increasing security and preventing accidents. As a result of intensive checks, it has been realized:
2,272 vehicle control points,
13,509 controlled vehicles,
and have pronounced 6,873 fines for various violations of traffic regulations.
One of the worst recorded cases was extreme speed overpass, where a vehicle has been caught moving 241 km/h to an area with a 100km-h limit.
Police have indicated that these activities are part of a common strategy with European Road Police Network member states (ROADPOL), aimed at reducing the number of fatal accidents and awareness of vehicle leaders for respecting the speed allowed.
Kosovo police have warned that the raids will continue in the coming weeks, with particular emphasis on high-risk areas in traffic.
