In a communique for the media, one of the most important trade organisations in the country said it has long raised concerns over the issue, which emerged as a result of the Trump Administration's decision.
The BTAK has called on institutions to start negotiations that would avoid negative consequences for Kosovo.
However, despite these calls, no concrete step has been taken at the official level so far.
DECIK estimates that such fees, while lower, compared to many countries in the region, can have a serious impact on the country's economy, especially on businesses that export to the United States.
DECIK once again appeals to the government to support businesses affected by the decision, as hundreds of jobs are threatened.
Moreover, Kosovo's Chamber of Commerce and Industry has repeatedly requested the removal of customs and T tariffs VSH (.8% for essential goods and 18% for other goods). However, no government, including the Kurti 1 government and Kurti 2, has taken action to lift these tariffs. /Periscope
