This agreement enables citizens of the Republic of Kosovo and the United Arab Emirates to convert their drivers without having to undergo theoretical or practical exams in the host country. It represents an important step towards facilitating the movement and integration of citizens of both countries.
“This development is the result of close co-operation between the respective institutions of both states and testifies to mutual commitment in strengthening and deepening bilateral relations.
The agreement is signed on December 4th 2024 in Abu Dhabi, by the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Jedal Svecla, and the Minister of Internal Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, H.H. Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahian”, It says in the communiqué issued by MPJD.
MPJ adds that this is the second agreement of particular importance between the Republic of Kosovo and the United Arab Emirates, following the January 2024 agreement that enabled visa removal for Kosovo citizens, further strengthening ties with a state of significant political and economic impact in the region and on the global scene.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora of the Republic of Kosovo expresses the highest gratitude and considerations for the United Arab Emirates authorities for their continued and constructive co-operation, the report said.
