O V L-KLA reacts after amended indictment against Thaci

O V L- The KLA in a public response has said that with deep concern they have followed the news of the surrender of an indictment amended by the Prosecutor's Office towards Hashim Thaci and other fellow fighters, where it is claimed to be a new form of criminal responsibility --kins for “-type” in obstructing official persons. The response is said to be [...]

The response reportedly clearly testifies to the continuation of an unfair and unilateral approach to key figures of Kosovo's liberation and statehood war.

The involvement of Thaci in a case that has no connection to the previous charges being held in custody is an indication that the aim is not justice, but the extension of the process and the deliberate stain of figures representing the symbol of resistance and freedom of our people”, said in response.
The point, points out, is that “is more than clear that the Special Court, since its establishment, has functioned as a political mechanism aimed at dividing justice, but selecting it”.

This court has become an instrument of international injustice, where its actions are often politically motivated and contrary to fundamental principles of criminal law. It is unacceptable to use in the name of justice methods that seem more like pressure tools than as legal standards of an international court. Attempting to charge Thaci with responsibility for visits allowed by authorities themselves, while in custody, is groundless and politically motivated”, the response follows.

O V L- The KLA has invited public opinion, local and international institutions to reflect on this selective approach and prevent a process being used to rewrite history and tarnish the KLA's fair fight. /Periscope/
