The bruises, scratches, and broken fingernails, these are some of the obvious marks on the body of Ilaria Sula that resulted from the results of the autopsy.
The 22-year-old Albanian student was stabbed by her former boyfriend, Mark Antony Samson, on March 25 (day when she disappeared), while his body was found April 2nd in a suitcase thrown into a rock.
It was the murderer himself who discovered the place where he had dumped the lifeless body of Ilaria in the village of Monti Prenestein, near the municipality of Tivol and Rome.
As reported Corriere della Sera, the first data of the autopsy was also shown to Mark Samson, who, however, was asked if he had had had a physical attack before stab him in the neck, responded with a “Jo”.
Test results
However, the autopsy seems to deny Samson's statements.
A large ematomous, however, a wound attributed to a stroke taken in the left eyebrow, by a fist or anything (first most likely)...”, Prosecutor Maria Perna says, citing the results of the autopsy conducted.
There's another hit in the eye, one on the lips and little scratch on the neck, not by drowning, but if there was a fight... then the stab wounds... there's three in the neck plus four on the cheek, plus other wounds. She also had marks on the right forearm and broken nails in her left hand”.
Efforts to Protect Yourself
The findings of legal medicine seem to have attempted to protect her from the aggression of her former boyfriend, perhaps an attempt at sexual assault.
That's what scratches, bruises, and broken nails testify.
Maybe it crashed when it fell”, Says Mark Samson, but the prosecutor doesn't believe this explanation.
Moreover, he would be unfaithful even to the boy's version that the victim had gone to Samson's house for a peaceful meeting and had thereafter stayed overnight at his home.
According to investigators, Ilaria Sula had appeared at Mark Samson's house to ask how she dared to control her computer in her absence, and from here also the argument that led to the 22-year-old murder. Hence, death would date back to the evening of March 25, not on the morning of Samson's 26th./Periscopi/
