LVV leader Albin Kurti has invited LDK chairman Lumir Abdixhik and PDK chairman Memli Krasniqi to a meeting.
The meeting is scheduled to be held tomorrow 1 May starting at 8:30.
Based on the Constitution, three vice-presidents will be among the three parties that won the most seats, so I invite you to a joint meeting with Mr. Memli Krasniqi, the PDK chairman, at the N-204 Hall in the Republic of Kosovo Assembly tomorrow ( Thursday), May 1, 2025, at 8:30. With hope of positive response, I welcome you”, Kurti wrote on the paper.
But the democratic League of Kosovo and this future rejects Kurt's invitation to the meeting.
MP Hykmete Bajrami has told Indesksonline that LDK has received Kurti's invitation today, but neither Abdzic nor anyone else from LDK will attend the meeting called by Kurti.
“Po, chairman of the Democratic League of Kosovo Lumir Abdixhiku, has received a letter from Vetevendosje/Deputet Movement Chairman Albin Kurti. However, neither Mayor Abdixhiku nor anyone from the Democratic League of Kosovo will attend the meeting. The position of deputy head of the Parliament belonging to the Democratic League of Kosovo is based on the election result, and is not a discussion with any other party. More than that, the vice presidents voted in a package from the Parliament, according to the practice thus far. While the election of the Speaker of the Parliament is a matter of political agreement among parties aimed at creating the majority and the Democratic League of Kosovo, it has already made it clear that it is not interested in such a” agreement, Bajrami has said./Periscopi/
