Two hits in a month, Osmani: A rhythm that will not stop

Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani, who is staying in Turkey under the Diplomatic Forum, has declared that the process of international recognition of Kosovo has been unblocked after a five-year period, adding that in less than a month the country has received two new recognitions from Kenya and, recently, from Sudan, [...]
Osman stressed in an interview for RTK that these developments are an important moment for Kosovo diplomacy, as they come from two influential states on the African continent and beyond.
The “is an important renegotiation of this process, but besides these last two recognitions, there are other successes. We have managed to deepen relations with many states which Serbia claimed to have drawn recognition. These states have already reconfirmed bilateral reports with Kosovo”, she said.
The president said international recognitions require time and long-term commitment.
“There are states we've worked with over a decade to get recognition with, and that makes every success even more significant”, she added.
Regarding discussions in the country on the merits of these recognitions, Osmani said no serious person should personalise this process.
“These are the merits of the people of Kosovo, of our sacrifice and of the work of many institutions in close co-operation with international allies”, she said.
Finally, asked about its political future, Osman replied:
“does not matter the future of individuals, but the future of Kosovo. I will continue to contribute to my country for a long time”, the president declared.
