Former head of Appeal: Government's recent decisions are illegal, can be annulled

The Law on the Government of Kosovo, adopted by Albin Kurti's Government in 2022, envisions that the executive mandate ends with the end of the four-year term of the Parliament (which is the case in the current situation), with the successful vote by the Parliament of the no-government motion, the resignation of the prime minister, or the distribution of the Parliament.
But despite voting this law, government cabinet members continue to act differently.
They have not resigned, but have continued to make decisions in Government.
It was Iron Murati, the incumbent Finance Minister who made an administrative decision Tuesday, and after that, the Government of Kosovo held a meeting Wednesday, where several decisions were made, considered as non-real and anti-legal, by legal connoisseurs.
Former head of the Appeals Court, Hasan Shala, has declared that all decisions made by the government following the prime minister's resignation are illegal.
According to Shala, these decisions could be contested by parties of legal interest, and could be annulled through judicial procedures.
All those decisions are illegal. Those with legal interest and they are cancelled”, says Shala. /Periscopi/
