President Vjosa Osmani has announced yesterday that the Republic of Sudan has recognised Kosovo's independence, thus becoming the 119th country to recognise Kosovo.

Sudan Foreign Minister Ali Youssef has called Kosovo “a beautiful location”.

I am honored and privileged to have been sent by my president this afternoon, and after meeting with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who was a good and safe way for this gathered here in Turkey. And that we decided to recognize your beautiful place. On behalf of Sudan's peace - loving people, we know your country”, Sudan Foreign Minister Yousef said.

The Republic of Sudan has officially recognised the independence of the Republic of Kosovo, thus marking an important moment in Kosovo's international state efforts to expand recognitions.

Osmani expressed gratitude on behalf of the citizens of the Republic of Kosovo and stressed the importance of this historic event.

“Sudani has recognised the Republic of Kosovo, and our two countries have agreed to establish diplomatic relations. Thank you for the people of the Republic of Kosovo. This is the start of a big partnership!”, Osmani declared on X.

Kurti has welcomed Kosovo's recognition from Sudan, saying the state was added to a new recognition and people a more friendship.

Kurti in his response has congratulated the country's citizens and thanked Sudan's president for the decision.

He has also thanked the country's president, Vjosa Osmani, for her commitment to our friends and partners to continued support.

Our state was also added to a new recognition of our people a greater friendship. We welcome recognition from the state of Sudan, which comes weeks after the Kenyan one. The establishment of diplomatic relations between our two states hopes to expand and strengthen further. Congratulations to the citizens of our Republic and thank the president of Sudan for this important decision on the relationship between our two countries, as well as our President for her commitment to our friends and partners to continued support. ”

While, incumbent Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora Donika Grovalla-Schharz, named this as an important step for empowering the country's international position.

The Republic of Kosovo today marked yet another important moment on its international journey, recognition by Sudan. This recognition comes just weeks after the good news from Kenya, further strengthening the presence and international subjectivity of the Republic of Kosovo in Africa and beyond,” wrote Gervala in a post on social platforms.

The minister has expressed gratitude to the Sudanese authorities for their decision, and has thanked President Vjosa Osmani for her commitment to the process, while also praising the support of international partners who contributed to this diplomatic success.

“We look forward to building stable diplomatic relations and concrete co-operation with Sudan in areas of mutual interest,” it concluded.

Vlora Citaku, the new elected deputy of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, has welcomed recognition of Kosovo's independence on the part of Sudan, saying it represents a step towards strengthening the country's international subjectivity.

PDK deputy chairman also stressed that this recognition is good news for all.

The news from Sudan is also a step towards strengthening the international subjectivity of the Republic of Kosovo. This is good news for everyone. Increasing the number of recognitions is vital to consolidating Kosovo's position on the global scene, and this process becomes easier when we work together with our international friends and partners”, she has said.

The chairman of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj, has said that for the country progressing in recognising its sovereignty is ironic.

He has also said that this step should continue at a fast pace.

Welcome to the State of Sudan! For Kosovo, advancing to recognise its sovereignty is crude. In this case, the presidency was in charge of the task of strengthening Kosovo's international subjectivity. This step must continue at a fast pace. Congratulations to Kosovo! He wrote.

The Democratic League of Kosovo has welcomed recognition of Kosovo on the part of Sudan, naming it an important act which is powerful evidence of the continued devotion of peace-loving states to the principles of freedom, peace and the right of the people of Kosovo for independence.

In the LDK communiqué, this party expresses thanks to the leaders and people of Sudan for recognising Kosovo.

Sudan's recognition represents an important moment for Kosovo's diplomacy, proving mutual confidence in the principles of peace, stability and international co-operation, said among other things in the LDK communiqué.

Former Foreign Minister Behgjet Pacolli, named this development as extremely important news for the country.

Through a post on the social network Facebook, Pacolli stressed that this recognition comes as a continuation of a new wave of support for Kosovo, which was prompted by the recent recognition by Kenya's one of the most powerful states on the African continent.

As we warned, Kenya's recognition as one of the most powerful states on the African continent triggers a wave of recognition for our country. Sudan recognition is great news. Congratulations to Kosovo! ”, Pacolli wrote.

He has also praised Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani for her commitment and work under the Diplomatic Forum in Antalya, where she is holding different meetings./Periscopi/
