Israel has intensified attacks in Gaza since the end of the ceasefire with Hamas last month. In addition to daily bombings, Israeli authorities have banned the entry of imports, food and medical products on Palestinian territory since early March, as part of efforts to pressure Hamas to release Israeli hostages.
Meanwhile, humanitarian organisations have warned of a serious humanitarian crisis. According to them, relief supplies are toward extinction, while most residents in Gaza can consume only one meal a day or even less.
United Nations officials have indicated that they will closely monitor distribution of aid to prevent any possible misuse. /Periscope/
