Fear of Nuclear War, two world powers are exchanging fire for 4 days

Tensions between India and Pakistan have reached alarming levels, as Pakistan's Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif said that an Indian military incubation on Pakistani territory is “near”. In an interview for Reuters, Asif said Pakistani forces have significantly reinforced in Kasmir to counter any possible attacks. Crisis began after [...]
The crisis began after the bloody attack on April 22nd in the Indian region of Jammu and Kashmir, where 26 civilians were killed, mainly Hindu tourists from India. India blames militants linked to Pakistan for the attack, while a group known as The Resistance Front initially claimed responsibility but later withdrew.
In response, India has taken a series of drastic measures -- launched military exercises, tested long-range missiles and suspended the Indus Water Treaty, which guarantees water supply for about 80% of Pakistan's agriculture. Indian Minister of Water Resources Chandrakant Ragunath Paatil stated that India will ensure that no drop of water from the Indus River reaches Pakistan”, writes A2 CNN.
Pakistan, on the other hand, has closed airspace for Indian flights, suspended visas for Indian citizens, and placed armoured units at the border. Prime Minister Shezhbas Sharif warned that any attempts to stop the water towards Pakistan will be considered <x0-second war” and will receive full response.
Shooting along the border continues for four days, while Indian forces have arrested about 500 people in search operations for militants. Controls in some Muslim homes have caused concerns about abuse of innocent civilians.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has promised he will punish any terrorist and their supporters, suspending visa services for Pakistanis as well and demanding the return of Indian citizens from Pakistan.
Meanwhile, China has called for restraint and has expressed readiness to support any efforts to reduce tensions in the region.
